Meet Mr. Murugananthan Krishnan, a dedicated professional working for a multinational organization. He oversees all country clinical operation activities related to conducting and timely completing Phase I-IV global trials, managing a team of over 50 associates.  

His commitment to excellence in clinical research and passion for lifelong learning led him to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Research at ºÚÁϰٿÆâ€”University of Central Nicaragua (ºÚÁϰٿÆ-UCN). 

The Reason Behind Choosing the Program 

Being a lifelong learner, I firmly believe that the PhD in Clinical Research will upskill my thirst for excellence in clinical research, thereby improving patient lives. Enrolling in the PhD at ºÚÁϰٿÆ-UCN fulfilled my learning journey, which brought education to my life. 

My Experience During ºÚÁϰٿÆ-UCN Times 

The experience was encouraging and very positive. I enjoyed the blended learning modules adopted as the learning platform. The modules were well-structured, organized, and easy to follow. The timely schedule (calendarized) provided enough time to plan and learn about the topics.  

All lectures, assignments, and tests were well thought out and executed. The course outlines and PowerPoint presentations were beneficial. The faculty class was good. I learned a lot by asking questions to clarify doubts. The class was very detailed and organized.  

More discussion and practical work could probably enhance understanding even further. I also liked the contextual project assignments that required us to get online. The assignments were very beneficial to the entire learning process.

I liked the contextual projects, Wiki assignments, and article reviews that connected the subject matter to relevant real-world applications. 

Although some of the material felt outdated, I appreciated the course’s flexibility. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and gained much knowledge. The flexibility to log on at my convenience to do homework was a part of the class I liked. 

Work Experience After Program Completion 

Though it is too early to comment on my work experience, considering the short period after program completion, I am confident in fulfilling my dreams of learning and being on the right path to my purpose. 

How Much Did the Course Prepare Me for My Career? 

The course content and projects (contextual projects) provided an opportunity to go beyond the topic, advance around it, and become a subject matter expert. The course shaped me to more effectively conduct structured research projects, including research methodology, hypothesis formulation, and statistics.
